Because TBDC programs and technology services may involve providers or participants in more than one country, information may be processed outside your province or country of residence. Appropriate contractual, organizational and technical safeguards are used where required.

8. Data retention

Personal information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for program administration, service delivery, security, compliance, governance, audit or legal purposes. Information may then be deleted, anonymized or securely destroyed in accordance with applicable requirements and TBDC practices.

9. Security

TBDC applies reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse or alteration. These measures may include controlled access, secure hosting, encryption where appropriate, logging and operational security practices.

No digital system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should also protect their account credentials and devices.

10. Notifications & device permissions

Notifications

If you allow notifications, TBDCx may use a device notification token to deliver service-related or program-related messages. You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.

Camera, microphone or media access

Where a feature allows you to capture or attach media, TBDCx may request access to the relevant device capability. Access is requested only when needed for the feature you choose to use and is subject to the permission controls on your device.

11. Third-party services

TBDCx may rely on trusted third-party infrastructure and services to operate the app, host data, deliver notifications, monitor performance or provide related functionality. For example, notification delivery may use Firebase services. These providers process information according to their agreements with TBDC and their applicable privacy terms.

TBDCx may also contain links to third-party websites or services. TBDC is not responsible for the privacy practices of websites or services it does not control.

12. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access to personal information, request correction, request deletion or restriction, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, request portability or submit a complaint to a privacy regulator.

Requests can be submitted using the contact information below. TBDC may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

13. Children
